Schools Work
As a circuit we are developing our work in local schools and with our young people. We encourage active engagement with the local schools in our area.
We believe that out work in schools enable communities and churches to be transformed with effective partnership and encouragement.
We aim to
respond to school requests for church visits - in a safe environment children can explore the church sanctuary -
draw, engage in craft activities linking to RE Curriculum. For particular schemes of work and enabling a deep dive into a subject do get in touch.
provide an opportunity to talk about baptism and weddings (we could even baptise the school teddy bear)
produce class videos on a subject - for example What is God like? What does it mean to be a Christian today? which can be tailored to your school context
offer school assemblies not just at key festivals but at other times including the transitioning time
provide cards for schools for key transition moments - "new beginning postcards"
provide a link to organisations helping others in the community for example foodbanks, toilet twinning and working with people seeking asylum
If we can help in anyway please contact our children and families worker j.davies@traffordmethodist.org.uk
